Parent Consultation

If you’re a parent concerned about your child's speech and language development and would like to talk through these with a specialist then please get in touch.

How will this work?

Send me an email and we can arrange a free 15 minutes telephone chat.  We can chat through your concerns briefly and decide if a parent consultation would be helpful.

We can then arrange a date and time together for a virtual parent consultation via zoom.  It will take approximately 45-60 minutes in total ; allow us to discuss your child's speech and language difficulties and strategies/activities that you can do straight away to support them at home.

If you would like, you can also request a written activity programme * specifically tailored to your child's needs.

* This would be at additional cost

Testimonial

"Our sessions with Yee-Tuk have helped us to better understand the causes of our son's dysfluency.  We’ve gained valuable insights through the video feedback and learnt some strategies and techniques which have already helped him to become more fluent.  We’ve seen a significant improvement in his speech, and we both feel assured that we are in a good place to help him to manage and overcome any future challenges".

My Approach

I believe that speech and language therapy is most successful when it is implemented in a way that works for both the child and their family; together creating a communication environment for a child to flourish.

I fully understand that family life is full of complications and packed schedules. I look to tailor strategies that will fit into busy lifestyles.

Testimonial

My 2 and a half year old son had not spoken his first word so naturally I was concerned. As a parent there is nothing worse than feeling helpless when your child needs help.

Not only did Yee Tuk answer my many concerns but she also gave me the tools and a plan of action to follow which is just what I needed to feel like we were on the right track.

Now just 3 months on my son has not only spoken his first word but many more. With Yee Tuk’s support I was able to feel confident that I was doing all that I could do to aid my sons speech development. Thank you so much Yee Tuk!
